Multiplying Binomials

The

FOIL

Method

A binomial is a number that is in the form ax+b or ax-b, where a and b are numbers and x represents a variable.

Examples of binomials would include 3x+4, 5x-11, and x+1.

A good method to use when multiplying two binomials together is known as the FOIL method. To remember the steps in the FOIL method, all you have to do is look at the letters in the word "FOIL"!
