Importance of Water
Water is a major importance to all living things. In some organisms
90% of their body weight is made up of water. Up to 60% of the human body is made up of water, the brain is
composed of 70% water, blood contains 82% water, and the lungs are nearly 90% water.
If we did not have water then there would not be you or me. The unique qualities and properties of water
are what makes it so vital and necessary for life. The cells in our bodies are full of water. Water has
an excellent ability to dissolve many substances which allows our cells to use nutrients, minerals, and
chemicals for bodily processes
