General Links
This site is really nice. It breaks down subjects first by grade level: Elementary, Middle School, High School, and College and Beyond. From there, there are topics that would be useful resources that are applicable at that level. For example, under Elementary, there are topics such as study skills and reading material. It continues to break things down then into smaller pieces making it easy to follow and simple to understand.
This site is broken up into major themes from life science to arts. Designed for students and teachers alike, by clicking on a theme, a variety of resources and links are provided to help educate and get ideas about that topic. Very useful in either writing a lesson plan or in doing a project about a large variety of topics.
This site is really nice for general information. Applying again to all ages of learners, this site is first broken down by large categories. This is more of a library source, though, having mainly academic topics by subject area. From there, more specific information and links are provided.
This site gives a variety of information. Also for all ages, this site offers links to topic information as well as just fun stuff like puzzles. The resource is meant to be educational but isn't focused on any particualar subject or topic.
Science Links
This site is really cool. At least I think so. Though it is written and set up for a more mature group, it offers a lot of really interesting information about the way things work. Things like digital cameras, Nascar engines, and even quicksand. This is a very interesting site and is about really fun stuff that relates to many subject areas. I strongly recommend this site.
This is primarily a link page. It has a lot of links mostly science related. It is targeted at a 4th and 5th grade level but could be used at others depending on how it is used. It is broken into three main categories of science experiments, physics, and intentions. I think this would be a great site for a child to explore at the appropriate age level so that they wouldn't get frustrated while satisfying their curiosity.
Focused on grades 3 through six, Cyber Fair is primarily to look at different science projects. Students can get ideas as well as see other students projects and submit their own. This is a good place for students to interact and get ideas from peers outside of their own classroom.
Math Links
Everything from asking questions and getting explanations to finding games and drilling sites, this resource offers the mode of transportation. I like this site. It is alphabetized by site name which is often also the main topic. A little hard to search for specific information on this site, but is a good place to have fun and explore. This site is good for elementary students of all ages.
This site is all about measurement. From explanations of what measurement is to uses, units, and conversions, this site is very helpful as a reference for students. Where it doesn't offer explanation, it offers other links. Perfect for students who are trying to learn metrics in this crazy English system.
Language Arts Links
This is a great source for finding literature. This has links to titles, authors, and literature resources like dictionaries. Also their are some poetry links and writing sites. A great literature resource for students of all ages.
This is a great link page. It offers resources for writing, research, ideas, maps, quotes, search engines, etc. This is a great source for children grades 4 and up. This would be a great place to start a project and a search.
