Semi-Colon

The semi-colon is a type of punctuation. It looks like this ;

- It's used between complete independent clauses that aren't linked by a conjunction.

Example: Sheri and I love yoga; we take classes every Saturday.

- Semi-colons are also used between items in a series when the items contain commas.

Example:

My favorite cities are Chicago, Illinois; Seattle, Washington; and New York City, New York.
