Here are some games that teachers can use in there classrooms. Students would be able to play these during free time or any other allotted time. The great thing about the games is that the students are having fun but they are learning at the same time.

Lemonade Stand at Cool Math 4 Kids
In this game the player is in control of running a lemonade stand. The goal is to make as much money as possibly in the time given. To do this you need to make sure that you have enough supplies for the lemonade and that the customers think the lemonade taste ok. The player is having fun by deciding how to sell the lemonade but is also using math skills to order supplies and predict what people will buy.

WordCentral Mad-Lib poems
I thought this site was really cool. I remember doing Mad-lib poems when I was younger. With the Mad-lib poem, the person needs to put in words that complete the category such as noun, verb, or adjective. This is a great way for students to make silly poems but learn the parts of a sentence. To get to the game, enter WordCentral and scroll sideways to the music room.

Magic Box
In this game the student needs to prevent the ball from hitting them but catch all of the good food that comes from the box. The problem is that junk food also comes from the box. Points are lost if you catch the junk food. Students learn what food is healthy for them and what is junk food.

The Unsearchables
This game has students be detectives. The students need to click on different parts of the screen to collect the words that they need to get to the next level

Find It 2
This can help students compare two similar objects. In this game the student is shown two pictures that look very similar. The goal is to find the little things that are different between the two pictures. This helps kids look closely at objects and improve their skill that help them differentiate between similar objects.

Bespelled
Players need to find the words in the tiles before they burn. Using Scrabble type tiles, find words in any direction as long at the tile touches the other. The goal is to spell out words that have 3 letters or more. The more words you spell, the more wrong guesses the faster the tile will come to burn down your tiles. I liked this game because it is almost like a word search but you could use your own words that you found. To play, click the play now button on the introduction screen.

Drag and Drop
This is a great game for kids learning how to read. They need to read the word and choose the picture that matches up with the word. This helps kids identify what the words they are beginning to read mean.

Junkbot
In this game you need to get the robot to the trash can. The trick is to build the path with legos. Use strategy to get the robot over the path to the trash.
