This game is for all ages.

This is called the IQ game. The object of the IG game is to have only one peg remaining when you are finished. To do this you need to jump pegs over each other. When a peg is jumped over by another, it is removed from the board. I have also known it to be called Pegs or solitaire. I have seen this game set up a variety of ways. The most common layout of the game would be in a triangle. The other layout that I have seen frequently is the shape of a plus sign. This game is not only available online but it can be played with a board and nails or golf tees. It is also possible to by this game in a plastic case with plastic pegs.

This game requires the player to use logic. They need to think through the moves that they are planning on making before they make the moves. This encourages players to visualize what will happen when they make their moves. This also encourages making strategies. This stimulates the logical/mathmatical and the spacial intelligence in Gardner's Theory.

Sucess in playing the game depends how you start. The main goal is to get as many of the pegs out of the top point of the triangle. Once that portion of the triangle is empty, you have better chances at clearing the bottom half of the triangle.

I found this game origanially on JavaBotique at http://javaboutique.internet.com/IQGame/
