| I wouldn't have been able to put this all together with out a little help. Below are the places that I visited on-line that helped me brush up on my knowledge. I also had a few resourceful books at home that were a great help. Feel free to view these pages and find out for yourself what I might have missed that could've been interesting. |
A Narrated Heart Tour |
This site is neat. It is part of my power point presentation. It will bring you on a visual and narrated tour of the heart. There is also a few other options there one for the brain and the digestive system, so if you like the narrated heart tour find out more about a different part of your body by trying a different section. This mobile picture and audio piece requires you to have shockwave software. It may automatically install it for you however, because I didn't have a problem viewing it. |
The Ciculatory System |
This is the site where I got my diagram of the heart. This site also provided additional information on the circulartory or the cardiovascular system. It explains why there are the colors blue and red on the diagram. |
| Comprehensive School Health Education Authors Linda Meeks, Phillip Heit, and Randy Page | This book a base from which to start. It offered very much the same information as the two websites listed above. What the job of the cardiovascular system is, for example. What job each part of the system does and so on. |
The Arteries |
This site gives you more in-depth information on the arteries. You can also link to this page through the power point. |
The Veins |
The veins are another part of the Cardiovascular system. This page gives you more in-depth information about veins and the job they do. You can also link to this page through the power point presentation. |
The Capillaries |
The capillaries are much smaller then the veins and arteries but there job is no less important. You can read more about them on this page. This link can also be accessed through my power point. |
The Cardiovascular System Power Point |
Finally check out the power point I created. I hope you enjoy it. |
