People of Mexico



The people of Mexico include approximately 80% mestizo (mixed European and Indian descent) and 10% indígena (Native Americans or Indians - including Nahua, Huichol, Maya, Zapotecs, Mixtecs, Totonacs, and Tarascos or Purépecha). Mexico's Population is around 94 Million and growing very rapidly. Most of the population speaks spanish but there are also over 50 indiginous languages. The picture below is an example of what a Mestizo couple in Mexico looks like.
