Types of Motion

You are surrounded by objects that seem to move in many different ways. This variety of motion is made up of just three basic types.

Translational Motion:
motion is a straight line

Circular Motion:
movement around a central position
Vibrational Motion:
an object that moves back-and-forth from a central position
