Snowman Math

Here is another idea that mixes math and snow. At this students go outside in groups to build and name snowmen. Then they will help each other measure the height, diameter and circumference of the snowmen. They will need to record all this data so they can compare the size of their snowmen with the others. This lesson can also be extended through the winter term by the students measuring the snowmen weekly and comparing the changes.
