Group Focus: Middle School Students (6-8th grade)
This special lesson prepares students to learn many new features about the keyboard. Keyboards have 110 keys. Not all students understand them. Different systems provide different kinds of keys, but a standard is beginning to show over the past few years.
In the lesson, students will find some new tips and tricks by seeing advantages using a keyboard versus a mouse. Instructional books are quick to point out that using the keyboard makes you a more proficient end-user.
Hopefully this lesson brings to light some new ways to use keyboards. Many new features, like sound systems and microphones, are updated yearly. Students should be aware of such changes.
