  • Electronic Collaborative for Excellence in the Preparation of Teachers
  • This site provided by the Electronic Collaborative for Excellence in the Preparation of Teahcers includes technology articles as well as tips for teaching problem solving, scientific reasoning, and inquiry learning in math and science education. It has lessons for topics such as astronomy, biology, chemistry, geology, and math. One of the most interesting components of this site is the "Teacher Job Center" that includes job postings from across the country.

  • The Education Planet: The Math Forum
  • This math website provides math resources by subject including K-12, college, and advanced math. It also provides places to ask "Dr. Math" questions, recieve a newsletter, join discussion groups, and solve the problem of the week. In addition to all of this, web units and mathematics lesson plans are also included.

  • Lesson Plans: Science Power 2000
  • This site contains a large amount of science lesson plans divided into the areas of astronomy, biology, chemistry, earth science, and physics. It is well organized and is therefore very easy to locate the information that one is interested in.

  • Teacher Resources
  • This site contains an unbelievable amount of information and resources for teachers and parents alike. It provides activities for reading, math, spelling, holidays, and special needs children. It also includes links to free software, newsletters, and coupons.

  • A to Z Teacher Stuff
  • A to Z Teahcer Stuff includes quick indexes to lesson plans and teacher resources. It provides free newsletters, theme units, and articles. As there are over one thousand pages of information available through this site, helpful keyword searches are provided as well.

  • Education World
  • Education World provides an extrememly extensive list of lesson plans for all subjects. It discusses recent school issues, theme units, and discussions on technology in the classroom. This site features a lesson plan of the week as well.

  • ProTeacher Website
  • This ProTeacher mathematics site contains lesson plans and is divided into seven sections including fractions and decimals, geometry and measurement, patterns and relationships, whole number operations, cross curricular activities, teaching practices, and online practices.

  • Michigan Department of Educaiton
  • The Michigan Department of Education website features Internet resources, information on grants and finance, new legislation descriptions, educaitonal resources, reports and statistics on MEAP results, as well as articles on recent issues. This is a good site for staying informed on current educational issues and standards.

  • Lesson Plans Page
  • This site conatins over 1,000 pages of lesson plans in the subject areas of math, science, computers, music, art, social studies, and language arts. The site also gives the opportunity to join a mailing list, search the site, and submit lesson plans. It addition to these useful qualities, the Lesson Plans Page provides a guide to writing lesson plans as well.

  • This site provides a large number of mathematics lesson plans. The page is set up in an outline format with the lesson plans listed under subject headings such as number properties, whole numbers and numeration, problem solving and reasoning, mathematical tools, number sense, number properties, fractions, decimals, ratios and proportions, percents, measurement, geometry, and statistics. The organization of this site makes it easy to find the information that one is looking for.

  • This site is perfect for the elementary student interested in learning about the area of polygons. Explanations on how to determine the area of triangles, squares, rectangles, parallelograms, circles, and trapezoids are provided.   • This math website contains over 200 pages of math lessons for students in grades K-8. It includes explanations and interactive practice for various arithmetic topics such as addition, counting, division, estimation, geometry, money, decimals, and many more. It includes lessons on the parts of a paragraph including topic sentences, supporting details, and closing stentences.   • This site conatins valuable information for students learning about American History. Descriptions, charts, and graphics are provided about many topics in American History including the American revolution, immigration, colonial America, the Civil War, the industrial revolution, and westward expansion.

  • Experiments You Can Do At Home
  • This site provides a number of chemistry experiments that students can do at home. Students are given explicit directions and procedures to follow. Experiments deal with gases, reactions with oxygen, solutions, tests for substances, and other miscellanious topics.
