Mission Control

Welcome to a planetary journey through our solar system aboard the starship Internet. You will be exploring the sun, the planets, and their satellites. Upon your return to the Mission Control Center you will share your discoveries with you fellow explorers.

DESCRIPTION

This is a discovery project in which you will explore our solar system by surfing the Internet. After you have found the information of interest to you, you will then use your unique talents to create a project to present to your class.

Your project can be written, oral, a poster, a model, a game, a role playing activity or wherever your creative ideas blast you!

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. By clicking on a blue word you will visit a site on the Internet. Click the Back button on the Netscape menu bar as many times as necessary to return to this site.

  2. As you browse a site, you will have choices for exploring areas of interest to you. Simply click the Blue word.

  3. As you are exploring the solar system link, select your topic of interest for your project. Return to this page. You will begin your adventure by clicking on Solar System.

  4. Explore further by clicking on Earthview. Be patient . . . this file is huge.

  5. Have fun at this site.
