Instructions:
Countless Americans play baseball and softball at many different levels (from tee-ball to the majors) but unless you happen to be lucky enough to have a great statistician as a friend (or teammate) many of those people have no idea how to calculate their own stats like 'batting average', 'slugging percentage,' and 'on base percentage.' All you need to know is your number of plate appearances, at-bats (plate appearance minus walks), walks, total hits (singles, doubles, triples, and homers combined), singles, doubles, triples, and homers. Enter your numbers below and click the "GET MY STATS" button to calculate your 'batting average', 'slugging percentage,' and 'on base percentage.'
What exactly do these numbers mean?
Now that you know your statistics you can compare them to Major League Baseball's all-time records.
