Trigonometry with Maple

Maple allows us to calculate trigonomic funtions as well as convert from radians to degrees and vice versa.

For example, if we want to find numerical values of trig functions, we type the function (sin, cos, tan, etc.) followed by the argument enclosed in parentheses.

(Note that our input appears blue, while Maple's output is red.)

We can also substitute variables for the angle.

When converting from radians to degrees, Maple multiplies by 180/Pi as follows.

Maple multiplies by Pi/180 to convert from degrees to radians.
