An Introduction to Maple for the Calculus I Student

Maple is a symbolic mathematics program which solves problems by moving symbols like you or I would. For example, in solving "2x = 7", Maple rearranges the symbols to produce "x = 7/2". Maple can solve a vast number of problems such as these. Hence, its command language is extensive. For the Calculus I student only a few of these commands are necessary. Following is a list of some of the important ones.
