Boating Safety classes

Winter 2008


USCG Auxiliary Boating Safety classes begin January 17th 7pm at the Superior Dome. This will be a thirteen week course. Course fee is $30.00 for materials. Additional family members fee of $5.00 each for additional workbooks. More info: 226-3661. 475-7673 or 225-0188.

The Boating Skills and Seamanship class is geared for the powerboaters and will include basic coastal piloting. This course is geared for everyone from the novice to the seasoned mariner and is suitable for all boating enthusiasts 10 years of age and up.

This course is offered to the public for a nominal materials fee with the instruction provided free of charge by qualified members of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. This course will be 13 weeks in duration with a final exam. Successful completion qualifies the graduate to receive a certificate of achievement which is recognized by many insurance carriers for vessel insurance discounts, state and local law enforcement agencies and the United States Coast Guard.

Course fee is $30.00 for materials. Additional family members fee of $5.00 each for additional workbooks.

Classes will meet on Thursday once each week from 7-9:00pm at the Superior Dome.
